The Balkan Lab Orkestra

Balkan Lab. Orchestra, established in Rome, Italy. 20 musicians, including brass, saxophones, violins, percussion, accordion, and 3 singers... the orchestra features musicians from diverse backgrounds, primarily Roman Italians, but also from Syria, Turkey, Greece, and more. The orchestra is six years old and has performed at numerous events both nationally and internationally: in Serbia at the Gucà International Festival and in Paris at the Balkan Music Festival. We also have two albums and several self-produced short films... published on YouTube... Our repertoire embodies Balkan musical traditions, ranging from pieces from northern Greece to southern Turkey... including Serbia, Macedonia, Romania, and more. We are a well-established group in Rome, also running a workshop and a music school in the Pigneto area. We can hold engaging concerts featuring traditional music and dance, some composed by the orchestra's director, Federico Pascucci, and some sung by three voices, in pure Balkan style. We believe that the orchestra's presence can add value to musical and other events, engaging the audience with dancers who engage the audience in traditional Balkan dances.
